The Government of Canada, together with the Provinces of British Columbia, Newfoundland and
Labrador, and Saskatchewan, and the Yukon Territory, in partnership with the Canadian
Chamber of Commerce jointly held the 2010 Canada Mineral Investment Forum in Hong Kong and
Beijing from Nov 9 to Nov 15.
President Dr. Zhou Taihe and General Manager Dr.Deng Qi were invited to attend this forum as the
Special Advisor of Yukon Economic Development Department and they had several meeting with many
mining companies and investment companies to discuss cooperation opportunities.
In the Beijing Canada Mineral Investment Forum, Yukon Government held a meeting with Mr. Yu
Dongming, the deputy director of Industrial Development Department of National Development and
Reform Commission. Minister Jim Kenyon and Deputy Minister Harvey Brooks of Economic Development
made brief introduction on recent exploration work of Chinese investing projects in Yukon province. |
